TechInAfrica – TECNO Mobile has recently launched its latest 3G smart feature phone, T901 which is powered by KaiOS. This partnership is a significant step for both companies to provide affordable smart feature phone for users. It is reported that the T901 will be available in three options: black, gold, and blue.

In addition to Ha’s statement, Sebastian Codeville, CEO of KaiOS Technologies said that the partnership is a milestone for both TECNO and KaiOS. The T901 is available with a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 240×320 pixel resolution. It hybrid dual-SIM slot that supports for two SIM cards as well as 512MB and 256MB memory. Meanwhile, for the power supply, the smart feature phone is equipped with a 1900mAh battery. In terms of camera, the T901 has a front and a rear camera with a built-in flashlight that is useful as lighting for producing clearer photos in the dark environments.

KaiOS enables a new category of affordable smart feature phones that require limited memory, while at the same time also offering rich user experience. They support 3G and 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC.  In additions, there are also popular apps and services such as WhatsApp, the Google Assistant, Facebook, YouTube, and Google Maps, an apps store called the KaiStore.
