Fit4Start Program Calls for African Startups, Offering £50,000

TechInAfrica – Luxembourg’s Fit4Start has announced that it is currently calling for applications for local and international startups in the ICT, HealthTech, and the Space sectors. It is managed by Luxinnovation which is Luxembourg’s national innovation program and will support early-stage financing as well as personalized coaching for selected startups.

The 2019 edition of the program is now opened for applications and will select 5 startups from the Space sector, 10 startups from the ICT sector, and 5 startups in HealthTech sector. Applications are submitted online until August 16th, 2019.

The selected startups will participate in a 16-week program that includes coaching and weekly follow-up by Lean Startup experts, access to a collaborative workspace in an incubator in Luxembourg, and the opportunity to get a grant of 50,000 euros.

Besides offering a grant of 50,000 euros for selected startups, they will also be offered another 100,000 euro of grant by the Ministry of Economy. Therefore, all prizes are totaled 150,000 euros or Shs633 million.

Furthermore, for startups in the Space sector, they will get another special offer. According to the program, the selected startups will get access to the data center of the Luxembourg Space Agency which is the national entry point to data products of the Copernicus Sentinel constellation
