Carhoot is a Kenyan end-to-end car care and mobile maintenance app that makes it possible for car users and owners to receive roadside assistance, order spare parts and maintain their vehicles in an easy, secure and time-effective manner. It is a homegrown solution built by Kenyans for Kenyan drivers with the intent to:

  1. Giving people access to credible services verified parts, and trusted service providers on-demand.
  2. Making use of available technology innovations to bring car care services closer to everyday Kenyans.
  3. To address and help resolve the gender bias female drivers and car owners face when it comes to the cost of maintaining their cars and purchasing parts.
  4. To help reduce and minimize roadside accidents and carnage as a result of poor or inadequate vehicle maintenance practices.

The event was launched in Nairobi in a virtual Zoom event attended by CEO and founder Moses Kihumba alongside Mercy Orangi a Developer Relations Expert working at Andela on a virtual zoom call and social media platforms. In a statement, he said, “True innovation today, is centered on humans. It’s focused on our behavior, our passions, and our needs. Carhoot is an innovation that has been designed to make your car ownership experience completely enjoyable.”

The app makes it easier for busy people to keep track of how they should care for cares, and automates service reminders. We encourage you to explore the app on your own and for your own research; you can download it on either the Play Store or Apple Store to download the application.
