New Esports Hub To Launch At Vodacom World, Gamers Rejoiced

TechInAfrica – Vodacom will introduce the esports hub at Vodacom World, which is the company’s Flagship Digital Mall, located in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Apart from several gaming events hosting, the esports hub will garner an opportunity for the gamers of Vodacom’s speedy network and its full capabilities. It marks forward a step on Vodacom’s objective, which is becoming the establishment of ‘Gamers Network of Choice’. The telecom company announced the news on Thursday (05/19), saying that there are great synergies between the gaming and esports scene and Vodacom in that the one glue that connects gamers with their games is the network capability, connectivity, and speeds.

“We have no doubt that gamers who visit the mall during September will experience world-class gaming through SA’s leading network while competing for NAG LAN tickets that will give them access to rAge – tickets that can only be won at Vodacom World,” The Managing Executive of Retail Operations at Vodacom, Samantha Botha has spoken.

The company is undoubtedly excited with the introduction of the brand new esport hub on their digital mall, and following the upcoming launch of the esports hub is the hosting of the hub first-ever gaming competition which will take place starting from 9 September to 23 September this year, and Mettlestate will be the local host for the event, which is an esports tournament organizer. In that period, there will be 3 games for the gamers to hop in, such as Fortnite (Mobile), one of the hottest game this year, Dota Underlords (Mobile), and F1 2019. Leader-boards will be set up and there will be prizes for the champions, for both casual and competitive gamers are given the chance to win bundles and hampers of Vodacom’s, and also a chance to grab a ticket of LAN for the annual NAG LAN at rAge that will be hosted from 27 September to 29 September this year, on Johannesburg, precisely at the Ticketpro Dome.
