Plug and Play Morocco Accelerator open for Africa startups

Morocco Plug and Play Accelerator is inviting applicants for the second batch. Startups across Africa will have access to Plug and Play’s network of venture capitalists and corporations while offering them support in expanding their businesses outside the region.

Plug and Play Morocco is an equity-free accelerator program targeting innovative and forward-thinking startups looking to change the face of Africa. The programme has partnered alongside the OCP Group and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

In this second batch, the main thematic areas of focus are shared economy, AI & Big data, Logistics, Smart Buildings, ed-tech, healthtech, fintech, energy, and Mobility & IoT. The startups can be B2C or B2B2C with a proven track record of progressive growth. A highly diverse and focussed leadership team with strong expertise and a desire to innovate and scale their businesses across Africa. The company must also have products currently available on the market that drive value to customers and comprise breakthrough technology.

Applications will close on August 15, at 10 pm. Selections will be in early September and the program will launch later in the month. Participants will go through practical workshops, expert mentorships, receive office space, access to experimental infrastructure to carry out pilots, access to a network of opportunities, and several partnership opportunities.
