The Lesotho Communications Authority and the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe have begun implementing a new system that monitors traffic nationally and internationally.

In a statement released to the media, the system will assist in increasing revenue assurance, combating network fraud, and enforce billing integrity across all countrywide communications networks. It will be provided by Global Voice Group (GVG) a leading technology and voice regulator.

James Claude, GVG’s CEO said, GVG enables solid telecom metrics for tax collection purposes, detecting fraud, and market compliance with regulations that protect consumers and operators in Zimbabwe and Lesotho.

GVG’s regtech solution enhances the oversight capabilities of POTRAZ and LCA in a manner that benefits all stakeholders – including the state, military, the industry, and other citizens. If the regulators see what is happening in real-time it drastically improves the way a sector is governed while playing a major role in the socio-economic development of both countries.
