MENA video e-learning startup Almentor closes a $6.5m Serie B round that was led by Parth

Almentor, the online video learning platform has closed a $6.5 million Series B in a round led by Partech and drew participation from Egypt Ventures, Sawari Ventures, and Sango Capital bringing the total amount raised by Partech since it began to $14.5 million.

Ihab Fikry, Almentor’s CEO pointed out that they are now “leading the continuous video learning industry in the Arab region” adding that he had a responsibility to “improve the industry as a whole.” 

Almentor offers a library with an abundance of talks and courses that nurture Arab youth while enhancing their personal experiences and fueling their career paths along the way. Launched in 2016, the platform looks to target the shortage of online learning content curated for Arabic speakers. Almentor boasts over 2 million successful online learning experiences and 80 Enterprise partners across MENA.

Through constantly sharing rich content, learners receive unique solutions across several disciplines cutting across technology, health, entrepreneurship, humanities, business administration, and a lot more.

Cyril Collon, a General Partner at Partech expressed pride in the latest round of financing. He also expressed pleasure with Ihab Fikry (CEO) and Ibrahim Kamel (COO). who are two mission-driven entrepreneurs executing a bold vision since 2016. According to Collin, Partech strives to support the company in its aim to serve the 430 million Arab majority-speaking populace.
